Czech cardiologists have created new foundation

Congenital heart defects represent a heart attack that is present at birth. Genetic disorders as well as environmental factors are responsible for their occurrence. Only about 500 children with heart defects are born annually in the Czech Republic. Most of the defects can now be corrected by surgery or catheter performance. But there are areas in the world where the incidence of such complications is many times higher and there is no effective aid. For this reason, the African Heart Foundation has been set up to provide effective support and long-term support to children with cardiac problems where healthcare is not at the level of development in the Czech Republic.
